Titles

Titles should give our editors a basic heads-up of what to expect. Feel free to make it catchy!

What kind of event? (wedding, engagement, shower, home tour, etc.)

What was the setting? (backyard, ballroom, resort, beach, ranch, etc.)

where was it? (California, France, South Texas, etc.)

Throw in a few adjectives! (glam, summer, classic, boho, DIY, vintage)

What was the inspiration? (movie, book, art style, historical period, etc.)

Description

SMP readers love to hear how and why you made the choices you made as you planned this occasion! Whether it's an engagement shoot, wedding day, editorial shoot, or another lifestyle event, share the inspiration behind the day. Include fun proposal stories, color or floral decisions, dress shopping experiences, special touches or traditions, anything you think our readers would like. Do you have special memories of the day, a great DIY project - any advice for future brides and grooms? This is the section to tell us about it! Three to five paragraphs is best. Be sure you proof! This is also the spot to give our editors any special information when they are reviewing your submission.

Credits

The credit section allows you to enter vendors and venues along with their website URLs. A photography credit must be entered on every submission. Our system may auto-suggest vendor/venue names and URLs. Please select carefully. With so many similar brands, it's super important to get it correct -- right from the beginning! Once a feature is published, corrections may not be immediate. Include as many vendors as possible. This helps our editors when they are reviewing the submission. And please - don't forget the dress designer!

Photos

We love color photos as they look best on our blog. Detail shots are very important but should be in healthy balance with the rest of the wedding story - the getting ready, the people, the moments. We do use black and white photography peppered in so feel free to include a very select group of black and white imagery as well. Please read our FAQ for more help on curating your image submissions.

Video

Enter the link to your video in the section provided. The best format for films is either Vimeo or YouTube. The most-watched videos are short format films: teasers, highlights, same day edits, etc. Refer to our Submission Guidelines page for more criteria on film-only submissions.
